01Introduction

Fudosan Soba (operated by Daniele Canton, hereinafter "we" or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information appropriately. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used across our web services (fudosansoba.com and analytics.fudosansoba.com).

By using our services you agree to this policy.

02Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: your email address and display name as provided at registration
• Usage information: pages visited, features used, click and selection events, referrer, browser language, anonymous visitor ID, and session ID for service improvement purposes
• Subscription information: plan status (active, trialing, cancelled, etc.), Stripe customer ID, and next billing date. Credit card numbers are never stored on our servers.
• Cancellation reason: the optional reason you provide when cancelling a subscription

03How We Use Your Information

Information is used only for the following purposes:

• Providing and maintaining the service
• Managing subscriptions and processing billing
• Responding to support enquiries
• Improving service quality and fixing defects
• First-party analytics to understand page views, feature usage, and error or usability patterns
• Complying with legal obligations

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

04Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Each provider's own privacy policy applies to data they handle.

05Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session. These are required for the service to function; disabling them will prevent you from logging in.

We do not use Google Analytics or other external analytics providers. For our own first-party analytics, we store an anonymous visitor ID in localStorage and a session ID in sessionStorage. This lets us record page views, link and button clicks, and select or toggle changes through Firebase Cloud Functions into Cloud Firestore. We do not collect free-text input contents, passwords, or payment details as analytics events.

We do not use third-party cookies for advertising or third-party behavioural tracking.

06Data Retention

• Account information: retained until account deletion
• Subscription information: retained until account deletion
• Access logs and first-party analytics events: retained for up to 12 months, then automatically deleted

When you delete your account, associated personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

07Your Rights

Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) you have the right to:

• Request disclosure of personal information we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of inaccurate information
• Request suspension of use or erasure of your data

To exercise these rights please contact admin@fudosansoba.com. After verifying your identity we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You can also delete your account directly from the Account settings within the app.

08Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

09Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of any changes by updating this page. For material changes we will send an email to your registered address. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
